Voting should be hard.  Voting should be extremely difficult and inconvenient.  Voting should be setup so that only those who really understand the importance of being able to participate in the political process actually participates.

I’m not necessarily defending the GOP – they have done an absolute lousy job during the past eight or so years.  They don’t deserve defending.
