Halloween is no longer just for kids

I was a doctor Saturday night.  Uh…I mean…I was a SURGEON…not just a doctor.  A large group of pathetic grown adults decided to have a Halloween Party and I jumped right in the middle of the idea.

Halloween is now the second largest holiday in America behind Christmas - in spending.  Lots of cold hard cash will be tossed around towards the end of every October as more and more adults enjoy the festivities.  I used to be one of those that thought it was silly for us grown folks to dress up, get tanked, and play around on Halloween.

It was fun.  We had a blast.  I take it all back.

Obama will win

Senator ObamaI’ve been asked by someone to write a post predicting an Obama win.  Why?  My predictions suck. I’m at 0% for this election and he thought that if I make this prediction it might guarantee a McCain win.  So here goes…

Here are a couple of scenerios I see as possible:

1) People just love Senator Obama.  They flock to him like a magnet.  Liberals, independents, moderates, republicans, democrats, libertarians - everyone loves him.  This is the scenerio I cast doubt upon.  I don’t buy this one.

2) People are enraged at the GOP.  This is more like it.  Independents, conservative democrats, and some republicans are voting AGAINST the GOP rather than FOR Obama.  They are extremely ill about how the GOP handled the power they had from 2000 to 2006 - they had the White House - they had Congress - they had the courts.  They blew it.  Some folks are holding them accountable and tossing them out of office.  I can’t really argue with that reasoning.

The polls are so screwed up we don’t really have a clue as to what’s happening.  This could well be a GOP landslide.  Ralph Nader and Bob Barr could play a significant role.  Obama could win all 50 states.  We really don’t know what’s happening.

November 5 should be an interesting day.
