Good food and good views – Northeast Georgia
As most of you know – I love good food.
I have compiled a short list of a few places that not only deliver good food but as an added bonus they have a great view! This is an appropriate post considering we have some winter weather in the area and some of these places have exceptional views today.
* The Dillard House. Located in Dillard GA. Sitting next to that big glass window and looking out over that beautiful valley below is a great experience. I wonder if the fact that they keep bringing good food adds to the view?
* The Oar House. Located outside of Dahlonega overlooking the Chestatee River. I have to admit, we have not eaten here – yet. Everything I’ve ever heard about this place has been nothing but good – great atmosphere, excellent food, and a beautiful view.
* Amicalola Lodge Restaurant. Located near Dawsonville GA. Absolutely fabulous views from this dining room. Great prime rib buffet on Saturday night and a seafood feast on Friday night. Highly recommended.
* Hawg Wild BBQ. Located in Clarkesville GA. Great view of the Soque River – an added bonus is that Clarkesville is one of our favorite little towns in north Georgia. They have excellent BBQ and if you like catfish – this is the place for you!
This is a short list…I know…but try one of these places out and let us know what you think.
