Hey John...

I believe that social media will transform politics and government over the next few years. I think this venue gives the average citizen an opportunity to a) learn more b) stay informed with policy-making on a daily basis and c) run for office - even if they are not an attorney or have the right DNA makeup.

The "good ole boys and girls" club might be coming to an end soon.

I'm kinda like Dennis. I was raised where I could go and see the MILWAUKEE Braves or the Chicago Cubs anytime I wanted. Being a long time Cub fan, you've got to have patience and staying power to be a fan. The Cubs are loved - not because they win - but because we wait for the expected crash. Kind of like being a Dale Jr. fan. And Dennis - does this principle of taking it back if it doesn't work apply to local, county, state and federal government also? News stories about the residents of Gwinnett still bashing the commissinors when they found cuts so that taxes don't increase because the residents want tax decreases. If we think this populist movement is a fluke, we're beginning to see signs all over that it's got roots that go to the local level. Yes,we live in interesting times. Heck, even 80 year old head coaches decide to "retire" these days. Go figure.
