Palin vs Letterman
So we’re in the prime-time of the Palin vs Letterman controversy…and I’m getting pretty sick of it. Basically here’s what happened:
1) Late night TV comedy host does a nasty joke about a famous politician.
2) Famous politician gets mad – famous politicians loyal followers get outraged.
Letterman loves this. Palin loves this. CBS loves this. The GOP loves this. They are milking this silly little thing for everything it’s worth – higher advertising rates – more interest in a possible 2012 presidential candidate – sympathy for the political party out of power —- man is this good!
Why can’t these same people get fired up over something that matters?
We have a tax system that is destroying our economy and rendering us as servants to China and the middle eastern oil producing nations. We have a stupid little fad (global warming) that is contributing as much as the idiotic tax system to the destruction of our economy. We have a national debt that nobody can even take serious because of the number of zeros. We have a budget that is spiraling out of control. Housing has crashed. Retail has crashed. The auto industry no longer even exists.
And what are we whining about?
A joke on late night TV.
I guess I shouldn’t expect anything less. Incumbents will win re-election once again at the rate of about 95% while we wonder if Jon and Kate are gonna get divorced.
Ok. I’m good now. I’ve vented. I feel much better now – I hope you do too after reading this mess.
