CEO Spectacle on Capital Hill

Banking CEO'sCongress is grilling eight powerful CEO’s of the banking industry as I sit and write this.  No doubt most of the American public loves this – the CEO – the bad guy – the rich guy – the powerful one —– getting hammered by our representatives who are up there looking out for “the little guy”.

You gotta be kidding me.

I really wish that Wells Fargo President and CEO John Stumpf would have say something like “…excuse me Congressman Frank but wasn’t it YOU and your cohorts who not only urged us to lend money to people who couldn’t pay it back, but required us to do so by law…”  Oh man I’d love to see that.

I would have flown in on my GulfStream IV, been driven up to the front steps of the Capital in a Cadilac SUV Limo, and made sure every member of Congress got a good look at my Rolex…

Please tell me the American public isn’t so stupid as to pay attention to this “hearing”.

My rant for the day.
