No Internet?
It appears that some underwater cables have been broken that carry internet traffic around the globe.
Here in Oakwood everything seems to be ok right now but it got me to thinking what things would be like if we indeed had a massive internet failure. Ouch. This would be devastating. I’m about as spoiled as you can get when it comes to the internet and information.
I use the internet continually – for everything:
Sales — I use the internet to find prospects, read sales articles, and talk with like-minded people about their experiences and techniques.
News — Needless to say – my news cycle lasts about 5 minutes. RSS feeds on my desktop are updated continually and I’m always in touch with what’s going on in the World.
Weather — It sits on my desktop. I luv it.
Sports — What did I do before the internet? I have all 32 bowl games at my fingertips!
Friends & Family — We communicate daily across the net.
Settle Arguments — We have an argument around here, it gets settled in less than a minute. YES, that WAS Humphrey Bogart that said that…
The internet has become so much of our lives its hard to imagine a day without it. I even get this stuff on my phone…geez
Lets hope they get our cables tied back together soon.
