President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama.
That’s gonna be tough to get used to. We’ve been saying “Bush” and “Clinton” for so long it’s gonna take some time to cozy up to “Obama”.
He kicked their butt. Plain and simple. First he took on the Clinton machine – he beat it. Then he took on the Republican National Committee along with the McCain campaign – he beat it. Maybe there is something to this guy?
I didn’t support Senator Obama. I didn’t vote for Senator Obama. Having said that I’ll be the first to withhold criticism until I see what he is gonna do and how he’s gonna do it. He might surprise me – I hope he does. I’m not locked in to any politcal party or group – if the guy does a good job I’ll be the first to acknowledge it.
Good luck Mr. President.

Just as couple of thoughts before I have to leave the office. 1) I voted. Obama, whether I like him or not is MY PRESIDENT. And because I voted, i get to criticize when I think he’s wrong and decide whether he’s worthy of praise when I think he’s right. It’s the office guys, not the guy. And, 2) Would somebody who knows him please get hold of Saxby and tell him the real reason he’s in run off? Jim Martin isn’t that engaging a candidate, but he looks pretty darn good when you don’t see your incumbent Senator’s smiling face for months on end. Hey Saxby, pay us some attention, talk to us, ask us questions, see what we think about stuff, and remember pork and earmarks are some things you might want to criticize rather than utilize to get votes. You know, the plane flight from Reagan National isn’t that long. The nap will do you good.
Saxby is in a runoff because he voted for the largest welfare package in US history. Democrats are SUPPOSED to support that sort of thing – GOP guys and gals get kicked out of office when they do it…
Maybe the GOP will learn something from the 2008 election cycle.
