Obama and Sarah
I thought the democratic convention was done fairly well after the horrific start. Hillary gave a very good speech, Bill came thru as he always does, and Senator Biden really raised the roof. It was Thursday night that was disappointing. Senator Obama had an audience of historic magnitude – 80,000 in person and almost 40 million on TV. He blew it. He gave the same “tax and spend” speech that we have been hearing since the 1960’s. He delivered it well…he is a fantastic speaker…but the content just wasn’t there. Same old democrats. Anti-business – pro-taxes – blame the USA…
On another front…Senator McCain turned the election upside down by picking Gov Sarah Palin of Alaska as his running mate. I don’t know much about Sarah yet but from what I do know I think it was a fantastic pick and it’s possible that Obama and Biden will have to spend the next four years in their old Senate seats…
