Please don’t vote
I really don’t care that much whether or not someone is conservative or liberal. I don’t really care if they are Republican or Democrat. I could care less if they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Atheist.
All I ask is this…
PLEASE DO NOT VOTE unless you are informed about the issues, the candidates, our system of government, and our financial system. Please stay home on Election Day if you decide to ignore all of the available information and remain uninformed.
If you can’t take the time to find the answers to these questions – I recommend you stay home on Election Day:
- Name our three branches of government.
- How many justices sit on the United States Supreme Court?
- Who is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court?
- What congressional district do you live in?
- Who represents you in the House of Representatives?
- Name your two United States Senators.
- How many members are in the US Senate?
- How many members are in the US House of Representatives?
- Which political party does your Governor belong to?
- Which political party makes up the majority in your State legislature?
- How many times has the US Constitution been amended?
- The first ten amendments to the Constitution are called what?
- Does the US Constitution give you the right to vote?
I’m no expert on government or politics. I don’t pretend to “know it all”….but c’mon…the answer to these 13 questions can be found in a couple of minutes on the internet.
Take the time to be informed – then inform someone else. Be a liberal – be a conservative – vote McCain – vote Obama —- BUT VOTE SMART
