Independence Day!

July 4 - Independence DayBack in the late 1700’s we had a little fight with a certain country from across the pond. A little misunderstanding. We won.

Although our official and legal separation from Great Britain came on July 2, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Second Continental Congress on July 4.

One of the more common myths is that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4. Not so. Most delegates actually signed the Declaration of Independence on August 2, 1776. A little US history trivia there…

Look what we have accomplished since 1776. In 232 short years we have blasted past nations all over the globe - nations who are 500, 600, 1000 years old. We’ve surpassed these countries to become the only super power on the planet - both with superior military strength and with our massive 13 trillion dollar economic engine. Heck…California would be the sixth largest economy in the World if she were a country!

Heres to many more July 4 celebrations!
