I agree. A major league fastball can reach speeds of 100mph. This gives the batter about .3 seconds to find the ball, react to the location of the ball, and decide where the ball is going — and then swing the bat. This is a very impressive feat. Try it sometime.
Number 1 - Hitting a baseball
It’s one thing to stand in a batting cage for hours swinging at 95mph fastballs - if you have athletic ability you can probably get the timing down and start getting a piece of the ball - maybe even a few good licks. BUT…remember this…in the real world you don’t know whether you are getting the 95mph fastball or the 80mph screwball. Screwy, eh?
