A few things to do this spring
There is plenty to do here in northeast Georgia during this time of year - many things you can do year-round and some things dedicated to spring / summer. Let’s look at a few:
1) Take a daytrip. There are some spectacular drives in the northeast Georgia mountains with lots to see and lots to do - and let’s not forget the fabulous food available! Taking a Saturday and doing a daytrip is fun for both couples and families, and you can spend as little or as much as your budget allows.
2) Take a roadtrip. Ok - a roadtrip is different from a daytrip in that we actually spend the night somewhere. Often what starts out to be a daytrip ends up as a roadtrip for my wife and I - we’ve learned to just keep a bag packed with the essentials when we leave the house on Saturday morning. Stay in one of the State Parks - Unicoi or Amicalola Falls - both have really cool lodges. There are dozens of motels, hotels, bed & breakfast Inns, and rental cabins available all across northeast Georgia.
3) Play golf. You can tee it up just about anywhere up here in the mountains. Here are some courses.
