A word about election 08…
I’m a little concerned. We have three United States Senators running for President - in other words, our next President WILL BE a former Senator. The last time that happened was in 1960 with JFK. Why does this concern me? They have no executive experience. They have little or no leadership skills compared to an executive. We’re asking someone to be the leader of the free world and run a thirteen trillion dollar economy - that has no experience. Wow. Obama - first term senator. Hillary - former first lady. McCain - lifelong senator.
I suppose you could give the edge to McCain in the experience department - at least he has military experience and has shown some considerable courage during tough times - but - that was decades ago. Since then he has become a lifelong politician - never a mayor, never a governor - always a legislator.
I’m not very optimistic - but I’m hoping I’ll be proven wrong.
